You will be the first point of contact for the vehicle pound, providing an effective and efficient administration service in processing vehicle returns, coordinating vehicle lifts, dispatching removal vehicles to lift vehicles parked in contravention, DVLA untaxed and abandoned vehicles.

You will be dealing with members of the public by phone and face to face, you will gain experience in different areas of vehicle enforcement and the respective legislation, no two days at the vehicle pound are the same and you will have the support of the team around you.

We work with partner organisations and colleagues from Parking Enforcement, Community Protection and the Police.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*
An ability to work under pressure and prioritise work.
Experience of dealing with members of the public by phone and in person.
A professional, calm and positive manner.
The ability to work in a small team, but equally under your own initiative.
Effective communication skills, excellent written and IT skills, with a high attention to detail.
A commitment to putting the citizen at the heart of all aspects of our work.

Nottingham City Council provides residential care for children and young people from 10 to 18 years old. We have 12 homes including semi-independent houses based around the city. Our aim is to make our home places where each child and young person is able to contribute positively to their environment and development important skills that will equip them for adult life. As a children's residential care worker you will work as part of an energetic team, but also be prepared to lone work with young people; proving around the clock care and supervision to children and young people in a children's home or semi- independent house with the support of the home management team. If you are passionate about supporting children and young people in care and feel you could find ways to help children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, this maybe the role for you!

* Awareness of the principles behind the Childrens Acts 1989 and 2000, Leaving Care Act 2000 and Criminal Justice Act 1994
* An understanding of the social, cultural, physical and emotional needs of the children, especially those with challenging behaviour.
* Awareness of safeguarding processes and relevant safety issues.
* Ability to motivate individual or groups of children through social and leisure activities, towards developing personal and social skills.
* Ability to contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of individual care programmes for children in key-working or co-working capacity. This will include working with families where there is a plan for a young person to return to work. It will also include planning for young people into independence.
* Motivated to work with children who demonstrate to challenging behaviour in a residential setting.

The role will work with the Debt Recovery Officer to support the income management and debt recovery of our 30m Commercial rent and service charge Portfolio.

The ideal candidate that we are looking fro will have the prior debt chasing and income recovery experience, have the proactive approach to actively resolve customer disputes and demonstrates assertive attitude towards difficult conversations to achieve positive outcomes.

*The main duties of this role will involve the following tasks:*
-Daily debt chasing on rent and service charge arrears to improve income recovery
-Weekly arrears update to budget managers to highlight issues and request actions
-Monthly arrears meeting with property managers to resolve outstanding queries
-Quarterly billing for service charge and raising credit notes where appropriate
-Dealing with tenants disputes and liaising with property managers to provide timely solutions

*The essential requirement:*
-Experience in providing proactive and effective debt management and income recovery
