This was a long and difficult election cycle, and I wanted to let you know
just how thankful I am for all of your hard work and support through thick and
thin. Everything didn’t go exactly how we would have liked, but we made
tremendous inroads in this state and gained some big wins among our losses.

* Brad Tschida, known for his awful remarks about a woman’s uterus, lost his
race for State Senate District 49
* Zooey Zephyr became the first trans member of the Montana State Legislature
with her victory in HD-100
* SJ Howell became the first non-binary Montana State Legislator when they
won their race for HD-95
* Paul Tuss won HD 28 by ten points, a district Trump won by FOURTEEN points
in 2020
We have a long way to go in Montana, especially given the current party makeup
of the state government. But we will not give up. Right now, the Districting
and Apportionment Commission is meeting to determine what our legislative map
will look like for the next decade and our commissioners and our staff are
fighting hard for fair and proportional maps. I know that together, we can
continue to turn the tide in 2024.
