We are excited to continue the new ‘Jazz@Goethe’ concert series with vocalist Danielle Wertz next Sunday! This series continues in the spirit of the DC Public Library’s ‘Jazz in the Basement’ series, which we co-hosted for several years in its previous location on K street. We are very happy to revive the tradition of bringing jazz to the historic U street corridor, where jazz greats such as Duke Ellington once thrived!

With our flexible Deutsch Online Individual courses, learn German on your own while being supported by one of our highly-qualified teachers. Start anytime, choose the number of individual sessions (1-16) and how fast you want to learn (5-16 weeks).

The program continues!

Interested in boosting your students' careers with German? Our program “Berufsbrücke” (Career Bridge) is specifically designed for students at U.S. Community Colleges who are keen to learn German and use it in a professional setting. A trip to Germany in the spring of 2023 allows for a fully immersive experience of German company culture and vocational training. Applications accepted until December 15, 2022.

"1899": Sailing into the Great Unknown

There was immense hype in the run-up to its release: “1899” reportedly cost almost 50 million euros, making it the most expensive German series ever made. The team behind the wildly successful hit “Dark” promised even more mystery, even more thrills and chills, and even more riddles, and founded Europe’s first LED studio for the complicated project with Babelsberg. The bar was set very high, given that “Dark” is the most popular Netflix series ever made. So, was all the hard work worth it?
