Dear friend,
I’m writing to remind you that from now until January 15, you can purchase a health care plan or renew your coverage through the HealthCare.gov marketplace. If you want coverage that will start on January 1, 2023, the deadline to enroll is December 15, 2022.
Thanks to the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, both signed into law by President Biden, many people will have access to more affordable premiums than in previous years. Many families can even get health insurance for free.
Here are a couple important facts you need to know about enrolling in coverage or renewing your coverage:
- Already had coverage through HealthCare.gov for 2022? Make sure to head back to HealthCare.gov to shop and save by comparing options for 2023. In your area, there may be more plans to choose from and you may save by choosing a different plan for 2023. If you take no action, your current coverage will automatically renew for the new year.
- Free help is available in signing up for coverage. If you have questions about signing up or want to talk through your options with a trained professional, call 1-800-318-2596. To find local help from a Navigator or certified application counselor, or to be contacted by a Marketplace-registered agent or broker, visit https://www.healthcare.gov/find-assistance/.
