Farming for the Long Haul

Are you an experienced farmer looking for more stability in your farm business? Do you want to dive deep into creating a business plan that achieves long-term viability? Wondering how to use financial planning to improve your quality of life and confidence in your business?

If you?re looking for structure and support to think about the future of your established farm business, consider applying for MFT?s new Farming for the Long Haul program!

In Farming for the Long Haul, you will:

  • Explore what long-term viability looks like for your farm business
  • Define what resources and business model you need to be successful and then charting a path to get there.
  • Work closely with your Technical Assistance team to identify short and long-term goals, create an action plan around those goals, and get paired with Technical Assistance providers with expertise to address your challenges.
  • Discuss with peers and service providers the sticky questions of managing a business and staying in it for the long haul.
  • By the end of the program, you?ll have the opportunity to write a business plan, create a 10-year financial plan, and apply for an Implementation Grant of up to $65K.
