We're excited to host The Oswego Christmas Walk presented by Allied First [ [link removed] ] Bank tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 2 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Oswego.?

Make the most of your evening by dressing for the weather and arriving early. Expect traffic delays in the area and plan to park remotely, then use the shuttle.?

Remote parking is available at Oswego High School and Symphony at the Tillers. Shuttle buses will operate from 4:30-9 p.m.?

Gather your friends and family for this homespun holiday tradition on Main Street. Listen to your favorite Christmas music, take photos with Santa, visit downtown businesses festooned with holiday decorations, play games and watch as blocks of ice are carved into magical works of art. Top off the evening with a dazzling parade with emergency vehicles decked out for the season.?

Free yard waste pickup

Our Public Works team has completed leaf collection for the year. With the arrival of winter weather, trucks are now being outfitted with snowplow equipment.?

Still have work to do? You can dispose of leaves and yard waste the week of Dec. 5 on your garbage collection day for free. Leaves, twigs and grass must be placed in 30-gallon Kraft paper bags.

Stickers are not required for this bonus yard waste collection.

Senior Coffee Dec. 17

Senior citizens are invited to join Village President Troy Parlier at the?Coffee and Conversations for Seniors [ [link removed] ]?event at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 17 at Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill. Please note this is a different date than what was originally promoted.

Coffee and breakfast treats will be served at 8:30 a.m. President Parlier will share the latest Village news and answer questions at 9 a.m. RSVP by noon on Dec. 16 at 630-551-2347 or by?email <[email protected]>.?

ComEd advises that its arborists will be trimming trees around power lines in Oswego for the next few months.?

Trees and branches that interfere with power lines can create safety hazards and cause power outages. ComEd plans regular preventative maintenance to avoid these challenges.?

ComEd will trim trees,?branches and vines that interfere or have the potential to interfere with power lines. In some cases, tree removal may be required.?All work will be performed by trained, qualified arborists.?
