** Show Big Media Who’s Boss
------------------------------------------------------------

============================================================

FAIR Friends,

FAIR’s year-end fund drive is in its second week, and we’re off to an encouraging start! The majority of our fundraising occurs during these last several weeks of the year, so what we raise now is truly crucial in ensuring our finances and setting our goals for the upcoming year.

It’s rare a small progressive organization lasts more than a year—let alone 36. We have you to thank for that! Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning, or you’ve just become familiar with our work recently, you play a central role in the longevity of FAIR.

Join the community of media activists who have kept us going strong for 36 years.

For decades, wealthy media-owners have shown us what their priority is: profits. In 2022, that was reiterated. CNN’s Fox-ward shift under Trump donor John Malone, Twitter chaos under richest-man-alive Elon Musk and the Washington Post’s curiously pro-billionaire stance under fourth-richest-man-alive Jeff Bezos all show us that the corporate press does not have the public’s interest in mind.

At FAIR, we believe accessible, reliable information is a right—not something for billionaires to play around with for their benefit.

FAIR is steadfast in continuing our work, because we believe in a future where the public is informed and in control—not at the mercy of war-mongering politicians, climate-destroying corporations or a handful of billionaires.

When you donate, you’re directly helping this goal become a reality.

To thank you for your contributions, we’re offering two gifts to choose from to help you spread FAIR’s message.

** Donate $50 or more and choose! ([link removed])

The first is FAIR’s special edition 35th anniversary T-shirt, featuring a monopoly-busting design by Kim Balthazar-Fetsko that appeared on the October 2011 issue of Extra!. Shirts are union-made in the US.

The other is a tote bag, US-made from eco-friendly material by a licensee/affiliate with the Fair Labor Association. On one side is FAIR’s logo. The other side reads, “Corporate news: Rich people paying rich people to tell middle-class people to blame poor people.” This durable and handy tote allows you to take FAIR’s anti-elitist message with you wherever you go.

Let's show Big Media who's boss in 2023!

Much appreciation,

Olivia Riggio, Janine Jackson, Julie Hollar & Jim Naureckas

P.S. Shirts are 100% cotton. Tote bag is made from poly cotton material and is 13″ wide x 14″ high x 3″ gusset with 25″ spun poly handles.

FAIR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donation is tax-deductible.
