Why Give?
To help end HIV transmission among people who use drugs.

Dear Friend,

December 1st is World AIDS Day. Each year, people across the globe unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. To end HIV transmission, we can’t ignore people who inject drugs. According to the CDC, people who inject drugs account for about 1 in 15 new HIV diagnoses.

We understand that using drugs introduces risk – but there are ways to make it safer. People can reduce their risk of HIV and other drug-related harms by applying evidence-based harm reduction strategies around safer drug use. Reducing harm also means undoing the stigma and the incredible impacts of a violent system that doesn’t just police and incarcerate people who use drugs but also neglects their overall health. They matter. We matter.

Today, in recognition of World AIDS Day, give a gift to the National Harm Reduction Coalition so that we can continue our fight to end HIV transmission in the United States by using harm reduction strategies. Give Today! Please offer a gift here.

In solidarity,
