We had a massive year for legalization in 2022, but we knew to keep the momentum going across the country to end prohibition, we'd need to build up enough resources to make a big push for 2023.
And well, to be honest, after such a busy year, we didn't know if y’all were ready to get right back into the trenches after we notched victories for legalization in two more states on Election Day, plus a whole flurry of action at the federal level.
We were WRONG. NORML Nation has once again blown us away and responded overwhelmingly to our message on Giving Tuesday. As a result, we can already begin planning a much more extensive scope of advocacy for the coming year. With states such as Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Delaware standing a great chance at passing legalization legislatively, we plan to amp up our presence in those localities even further. Also, in just a few short months, voters in Oklahoma will go to the polls for a special election on March 7th to vote on full adult-use legalization. With the generally low turnout during these atypical special elections, we will really need to come together and, just like we did in November, SMOKE THE VOTE ONCE AGAIN.
You've already blown past our expectations, but let's keep it going. If you can, chip in to help ensure next year continues our momentum for legalization across the country.
