Today we?re reporting a total of 130 additional positive COVID-19 cases and 78 additional recoveries for Nov. 26-Dec. 1. Today?s report includes 122 current cases and 8 older cases newly reported to the health district.???

As of Dec. 1, there have been 9,299 breakthrough cases in Galveston County. That?s about 4 percent breakthrough. More than 211,456 Galveston County residents are fully vaccinated.??????
As of Nov. 30, there are 4 Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) COVID-19 positive cases reported in Galveston County. For more information, please call 713-767-3000 or 211.??
To date, a total of 23,390 probable cases have been reported for Galveston County. As stated previously, probable cases are reported separate from confirmed cases. A probable case means a person tested positive for antigens or antibodies and also met the probable case definition from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Probable cases are not included in the county's confirmed case count because an antibody test and antigen test are not lab confirmed PCR tests.
