John, we tallied up the results of our 2022 Giving Tuesday campaign, and we wanted to take a moment to thank our incredible EDF community for making our campaign a success!

The generosity of our 3 million members and activists fuels our work and helps drive key victories that make lasting, positive change for the environment and our climate.

More than 2,700 donors came together to support powerful climate action on Giving Tuesday. Thanks to our members, we surpassed our goal, raising more than $360,000. And every gift was matched $3 for every $1 donated, making your collective impact more than $1.4 million!

These funds go directly to powering our work to:

• Cut U.S. climate pollution in half by 2030, and achieve a net zero emissions economy by 2050;
• Accelerate the transition to electric cars, trucks and buses, the largest source of climate pollution in the U.S.;
• Ensure that electric power is 100% clean by 2035 by modernizing our inefficient and antiquated energy grid;
• Slash methane pollution from the oil and gas industry, the fastest way to slow the rate of global warming right now; and
• Protect tropical forests from destruction — a goal the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says can reduce global carbon pollution by a whopping 25%!
