John, The 2024 presidential cycle kicked off early when national embarrassment and disgraced former president Donald Trump announced his candidacy. The announcement was nothing more than a desperate attempt to complicate the many investigations into his corruption.

The old GOP establishment is slowly but surely trying to pull their party away from losing another election by backing Trump. Former Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan has proclaimed that he’s a “never-again Trumper.”

Here’s the thing, even if Trump doesn’t clinch their party’s nomination, it won’t change the fact that anti-American MAGA extremism is baked into the GOP’s voter base.

The disdain for minority groups and hostility towards programs to help the poor and working class have been in the Republican party for much longer than Trump. It’s what the GOP stands for.

Despite its name, Trumpism is not a symptom of Trump, it’s a symptom of decades of Republican rhetoric.

Just like everything in his life, Trump didn’t succeed within the Republican party by building something new, but by taking advantage of what was already there. Even “make America great again” was first used by Ronald Reagan.

All Trump did was come along and sell the same old policies Republicans had been peddling, but this time without the facade of courtesy.

Trump has encouraged Republicans to embrace the darkness and bigotry that they quietly harnessed for decades.

The new waves of Republicans are more and more like Trump: from Ron DeSantis’ cruel governing style to Marjorie Taylor Greene's brazen disregard of reality, and Herschel Walker’s woeful incompetence.

Even after Trump is gone, his influence will ripple for decades through the candidates he has inspired.

Help us build the coalition of support across rural America that is needed to win battleground states and paint the electoral map from red to blue. John, we can spearhead the movement to defeat the root of Trumpism.

It’s painfully clear that the GOP has a long way to go before it can cleanse itself of the stench Trump has brought. Having your support in this fight makes all the difference.
