And President Biden answered our call! The Biden administration just paused student loan repayments until at least June 2023. This is a victory for student debt activists nationwide, and we’re grateful to all of our supporters like you who demanded action from the Biden administration.

Now, we’re taking this action one step further by calling on Congress to do their part and help secure student debt relief before Republicans take back the House majority in 2023.

Friend, student debt cancellation is long overdue – especially for marginalized groups who are most affected by the racial wealth gap and rising inflation.

But if Congress makes student debt cancellation a legislative priority, they could stop the courts from creating more legal roadblocks to President Biden’s plan and relieve the concerns of student loan borrowers everywhere.

And don’t forget: Young voters showed up in waves for Democrats during the 2022 midterm elections, many of whom were mobilized by key issues like college affordability.
