Shocking nobody, Republicans’ relentless attempts to undermine democracy and instill mistrust in voting systems has had a devastating impact on Republicans voter turnout. It seems that voters don’t want to participate in a system they’ve been told is corrupt. Casting doubt on the legitimacy of elections might have been an effective tool for galvanizing followers of an insurrection.
