John -- As the final midterm election ballots are counted, the impact of our movement for fair maps is undeniable.

Because of the presence of more fair maps, voters were able to have their voices truly heard.

This election proved that when voters cast their ballots on the fairer maps, the results can break through conventional midterm election trends that stood strong for decades.

Beyond that, we saw voters double down on protecting and strengthening democracy. Voters in Arizona rejected a stricter voter ID law. Voters in Connecticut approved early voting. Voters in places like Arkansas rejected attempts to make it harder to pass ballot initiatives. Voters in Michigan approved a constitutional amendment to protect the fundamental right to vote and expand access to voting.

We need to keep up this momentum. Chip in to show your commitment to building a democracy that works for the people. [[link removed]]

In more than a dozen states, election deniers were on the ballot for key positions like in Governor or Secretary of State. In every one of those races called so far, voters rejected these dangerous candidates. And our nation is better for it.

Voters want fair elections and a voice in the process. Plain and simple.

But while the impact of fair maps is undeniable -- states with fair maps stand in stark contrast with gerrymandered states like Florida, Georgia, Wisconsin, Ohio and Texas where democracy remains at risk.

Voters in these states want fair elections too. But as long as gerrymandered state legislatures call the shots, they will continue to stack the deck against voters in their states -- using unconstitutional maps and extreme voter suppression tactics to ensure their reelection. We need to break this cycle.

Fighting for fair maps helped save our democracy. But this is not a one and done effort. Chip in to support All OnThe Line. [[link removed]]
