[1]Bowman for Congress
Hi John,
Rail workers are negotiating for better working conditions, and Jamaal has
joined with progressives in Congress to fight for a better deal — and
gotten results.
Railway companies in the U.S. and Canada made record profits last year,
but their workers still don't have some of the most basic benefits like
paid sick leave. Congress has stepped in to help avert a strike, and
today, progressives scored a big win in the upcoming deal.
Jamaal successfully submitted an amendment to the Rules Committee to add 7
days of paid sick leave in a bill attached to the contract legislation
between rail workers and the railways, a key step toward a workplace right
they deserve.

excessive greed of America's largest corporations. If you support his

The labor movement is the source of the rights that working people have
today. It's only because of generations of organizing in the workplace, in
the streets, and in the halls of power that we have been able to make
progress and secure the rights of working people everywhere.
National progress takes both a movement in the streets and allies in
Congress. Seven days of sick leave is a bare minimum, and we have to
continue advocating for better benefits and working conditions. That's why
we must keep Jamaal advocating for the families of NY-16 and our
progressive vision for the future.
If this deal is successfully passed through the Senate, it represents a
step forward for railroad workers. But we can't let up steam. We have to
always keep pushing for progress. [ [link removed] ]If you agree, chip in to our
grassroots movement to support Jamaal Bowman today.
Thank you for being part of this team.
In solidarity,
Bowman for Congress
