John – The current negotiations over the railroad workers contract proves how urgent it is that we continue growing progressive power in Congress.

While some Democratic leaders are pushing rail workers to accept a contract that hasn’t been ratified by union members – and which does not include even their MOST basic demands like paid sick leave – progressives like our BNC representatives are fighting for workers.

Now that movement is gaining traction, and a new amendment from Sen. Bernie Sanders that would guarantee 7 days of paid sick leave is quickly gaining bipartisan support in the Senate.

Thanks to steadfast supporters like you, BNC will send TEN bold progressive voices to Congress in January – but we need to elect a lot more to start passing transformative legislation like universal healthcare and the Green New Deal.

Here is our challenge: donations have dropped off considerably since the election and we need sustaining funds to recruit the next wave of progressive leaders.
