John,
Hi, Dan with the Jane Fonda Climate PAC here. As we near the tail end of 2022 and head into the new year, I want to highlight why local elections matter to the climate movement. But first, will you chip in $5 today to support our crucial work?

Sometimes people consider the year between the midterms and the presidential election an “off” year politically. But there’s no such thing when it comes to electing leaders who will take on the fossil fuel industry. In 2023, we’ll be working to elect Climate Champions in city councils and state legislatures across the country.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of these local and state elections to the climate movement. Local elected officials have the power to enact change in crucial local sectors like transportation, electricity, and infrastructure that will all help cut planet-warming emissions.
They also play a key role in holding polluters accountable and protecting marginalized communities from deadly fossil fuel pollution.
That’s why we are working tirelessly to elect climate champions up and down the ballot, including mayors, city council members, county supervisors, commissioners, and many more in cities across the country.
Your generous contributions fuel our efforts to support as many climate champions as possible. Will you contribute $5 today to ensure we start off 2023 with strong momentum so we can continue to grow our program?

Let’s elect climate champions together,
Dan Rowe
