We refuse to let McConnell get away with this sham

Dear Indivisibles,

Massive update -- this afternoon, the Washington Post reported that Mitch McConnell has the votes to force his witness-free sham impeachment trial through to the Senate. That means he could bring a vote on the rules as soon as the House sends over the articles, which could be as soon as tomorrow -- unless we stop him.

As a reminder, this is the “trial” where they’re planning to not hear from any witnesses. Yeah, that’s just as ridiculous as it sounds.

Indivisibles have been at the forefront of pushing for impeachment from day one, and we ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to let McConnell get away with this sham. So we need you to do one or both of these things right now:

  1. Call your senators and tell them No Sham Trial. This isn’t over until the votes are cast -- your voice could be the one to tip the scales.
  2. Donate $10 to Indivisible tonight. We’re paying for ads, tools, and events, along with the resources and organizing to push for a real impeachment trial, but we’ve already spent nearly $300,000 and this fight is far from over. We can’t do this without you.

When you’re done, reply to this email to let us know! Then watch our social media channels and Impeachment Daily for more updates -- we’ll send them the moment we have them. Thank you so much for being with us.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
