Hi folks, just wanted to share a quick update as we finish out the remainder of this Congress and look ahead to next session. Sadly, we are already seeing extreme Republicans showing their true colors and picking all the wrong fights… Instead of fighting to lower the cost of gas, they’re in favor of tax breaks for ultra-rich oil companies that are bringing in record profits. I won’t stand by while the executives of these companies break the bank on the backs of our families. Instead of working to protect and expand vital benefits like Social Security and Medicare, extreme Republicans are threatening to make cuts to the programs that help Americans thrive. We can’t let our seniors down, we have to defend Social Security. Instead of passing meaningful legislation to curb rising gun violence, the GOP is in the pockets of the gun lobby, doubling down on their refusal to take action even after horrific and preventable tragedies. We won’t let their cowardice get in the way of progress to protect our schools, places of worship, nightclubs, grocery stores, and streets.
