The next Congress will have at least 82 new members (7 new senators…75 new representatives). It’s the ninth consecutive cycle of at least 50 new members (which has never happened in the post-World War II era).
This unprecedented turnover requires immense resources if we want to succeed in strengthening America’s support for Israel long-term.
It’s on us to ensure these new members of Congress understand that the threats facing Israel are real and growing.
It’s on us to prepare them with information they need before casting critical votes affecting Israel’s future.
It’s on us to urge lawmakers to support vital U.S. security assistance that provides Israel the resources it needs to defend itself, by itself.
It’s on us to keep our nation’s leaders focused on strengthening and expanding the U.S.-Israel relationship.
We know Israel’s detractors will also be trying to make their case…urging Congress to support boycotts of Israel...cuts in security assistance...and other efforts to isolate, demonize and delegitimize the Jewish state.
We need your help to provide Congress with the facts, counter those detractors and stand strong with Israel.
I’m up for the challenge. I know you are, too. Let's get to work.
