DC Day of Action

Friend --

The Trump administration has brought us closer than we have ever been to a catastrophic all-out war with Iran. This Thursday, thousands of Americans will be taking to the streets to protest against further military escalation and to demand Congress take action.

Join J Street and our pro-peace allies this Thursday at the US Capitol for a demonstration against war with Iran >>

When: Thursday at 5:00pm
Where: Capitol Hill Area 10, just across from the Library of Congress

With President Trump’s mounting threats of war crimes and “disproportionate” strikes in Iran, we stand on the precipice of yet another devastating conflict in the Middle East, which would leave unknown thousands dead, drain American strength and credibility and fuel further chaos and violence across the region.

At this moment, our voices are critically important to stopping this war. We must demand that Congress act swiftly on proposed legislation to limit Trump’s actions with a War Powers vote and to block funding for all unauthorized military action against Iran.

J Street is proud to stand with pro-peace, progressive allies -- including MoveOn, Indivisible and Win Without War -- to take a stand against this reckless war of choice.

Can we count on you to join us at the DC protest?

Now is the time for action. Now is the time to make our voices heard. Let's make it clear that the American people do not support yet another costly, avoidable, calamitous war of choice in the Middle East.

I hope to see you Thursday.

Yours,

Jess Smith
