More than half of U.S. bird species are in decline. And of those, 70 species—including the beloved Rufous Hummingbird—have lost 50% or more of their populations in the past 50 years and are on track to lose another half or more in the next half-century. According to the latest State of the Birds report, these birds “come from varied habitats, but they all have the same urgency—immediate science and conservation actions are needed to turn around declines.”
With Giving Tuesday ending in just a few hours, can we count on you to give birds the unwavering protection they need and deserve? Be one of 15 supporters we’re depending on to join us with a monthly donation before midnight tonight. Thanks to a generous group of donors, you’ll help unlock $25,000 more for birds and their habitats. ([link removed])
