Giving Tuesday is winding down, and we're so thankful for the outpouring of support we've received! We're on track to reach our $5.000 matching goal, but we need your help to cross the finish line.

We balance a lot here at Breathe SoCal, especially our Programs department. From teaching parents how to better manage their child's asthma to screening adults for lung diseases, Gilmar Flores and his team are making a difference in our communities every week. I'd like to tell you more about one of those programs, BlueSky LA.

A partnership with the non-profit Climate Cents, BlueSky LA engages local volunteers in their communities with environmental projects that help clear the air in the Los Angeles area. The 2028 Olympics will put Los Angeles on a world stage, and Breathe SoCal is doing its part to ensure our skies are blue and our air is clear in 2028 and beyond.

We've built a bioswale, planted trees, revitalized an urban garden, and will complete soil remediation at a local middle school garden. Kids, teens, and adults volunteer their time and Breathe SoCal provides all the materials needed to complete the projects.
