Dear John,
I wanted to make sure you saw my message from earlier today about Giving Tuesday! If you haven’t had a chance to give yet, I’m asking again if you’ll give $50, $100, or $250 today. [[link removed]] Long-term power building and leadership development requires dedicated resources. We must move away from organizing programs that are short-term, extractive, and harmful to community members. That only produces high turnover and burnt-out leaders. With your support, re:power Fund will continue to create transformational training spaces that foster trust between participants and trainers while centering participants’ expertise, and ultimately creating a pipeline of dynamic BIPOC leaders who will change the face of our democracy.
Please join us on #GivingTuesday by contributing now!
$50 [[link removed]] $100 [[link removed]]
$250 [[link removed]] OTHER AMOUNT [[link removed]]
With thanks,

P.S. If you make a gift of $250+ today you’ll be entered to win some cool merch from Patagonia!

Hello John ,
Phew! We made it through November 8, 2022. We know elections are not the beginning or end of our work, they are an indicator of where we are as a country. And this election indicated that we have a highly motivated, multiracial coalition of voters who will show up to the polls and fight for the values we believe in.
We scored major victories in races for Congress, governor, and secretaries of state across the country. Election deniers lost their races. Voters came out in droves to protect abortion access, reproductive freedom, and democracy. And, we scored big policy wins with ballot initiatives across the country. We outperformed expectations and organizers broke GOTV records across the board.
AND (I’m adding caps for the folks in the back of the room) THESE WINS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT LONG-TERM INVESTMENTS IN YEAR ROUND ORGANIZING. These wins are the direct result of what we like to call 365 organizing—organizing year round that doesn’t just put people on doorsteps two weeks to election day. At re:power, we know that electoral politics and movement building are deeply connected. Elections are important, yes, but we have to ensure folks are building power year round so we can connect our electoral wins to year round issue-based organizing.
That brings me to my last point—today is Giving Tuesday and we’re hoping to raise $5,000 by midnight. This money will go directly towards skilling up BIPOC grassroots organizers, policymakers, and candidates so they can organize year round.
