We're still short of our $30,000 match goal...
|
John — I wanted to make sure you saw the note I sent this morning.
I'm reaching out again because we're a bit behind on our #GivingTuesday fundraising goal. But I'm not worried.
If just 1% of the people receiving this email chip in, we will get there. I would be so honored and grateful if you would support NDWA's work by making a special #GivingTuesday donation this evening.
Thanks to a generous matching gift from our Care Giving Circle members, every dollar you give before MIDNIGHT will now be matched with 2 more dollars for TRIPLE the impact, up to $30,000.
Domestic work is deeply rooted in the history of slavery, and it’s this legacy that continues to shape the sector today. It is defined by low pay, rampant abuse and sexual harassment, and a lack of worker protections. This creates a rigged system where care work and the nannies, housecleaners, and home care workers who perform this work are continually undervalued despite being essential to our economy and society.
You've been there every step of the way, helping build a movement that is laser focused on ensuring these vulnerable workers are protected from abuse and are able to work and live with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
Thank you so much, for everything you do.
In gratitude,
Jenn Stowe, Executive Director
National Domestic Workers Alliance
