I just got out of a meeting with Nicole, our executive director, to touch base on our Giving Tuesday progress. We are only $1,890 away from hitting our goal!

To recap, Accountable Tech set a goal of raising $5,000 today – Giving Tuesday. In order to effectively hold Big Tech monopolies accountable, we need to meet this goal to advance our program work, such as:

• Organizing a coalition of 60+ civil rights and civil society groups to call on Twitter’s top advertisers to stop advertising on the platform while Elon Musk puts the future of the platform and our online information ecosystem in flux.
• Advocating for Congressional legislation to ban surveillance advertising — Big Tech’s toxic business model of collecting our personal information and data for advertising purposes.
• Continuing our work to pass bipartisan legislation at the state and federal level to protect kids, teens, and young adults online.

Are you able to help out before our 11:59pm deadline? A gift of $5, $10, or $25 will allow us to roll out our 2023 strategy successfully, so we can continue protecting our digital information infrastructure from the likes of Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and other social media giants.
