Dear John,

2022 was hard and full of changes — but we remained steadfast in our mission to ensure family caregivers, older adults, disabled people, children, and care workers weren’t left behind.

Help us continue to make leaps forward for care in 2023. [[link removed]]

Here’s what we did in 2022 to move us closer to a better care system in this country.

On the national level, President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Chuck Schumer, and other prominent political leaders joined us at the Time for Action Summit [[link removed]] . We discussed the state of care, the importance of building a sustainable care infrastructure, and the stakes for people like you. We also fought like hell to include care into this year’s federal recovery bills – and will fiercely continue the fight in 2023.

At the state level, we worked in coalition with community groups in Illinois, Georgia, Michigan, and California to win various care-based state bills. One of the best moments was when Actress Brandee Evans joined our #CareCantWait Roundtable event in Georgia when community leaders and care advocates got together to celebrate care work and begin shaping plans for 2023. Our state work is just heating up and we’re excited for what next year holds for care.

In our entertainment work, we had a great online care conversation [[link removed]] with Mandy Moore and other members of NBC’s This Is US cast. With our Hilarity for Charity friends Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen, we chatted about This Is Us’s unique focus on care and how personal storytelling has the ability to reach so many people. Our work with This Is Us was just one part of our dedicated work to bring more care stories to TV and film.

As we reflect on our work in 2022, we ask you to help expand our influence and reach in 2023. Please consider supporting Caring Across and our work this Giving Tuesday! [[link removed]]
