From November 20 to December 20, we recognize National Survivors of
Homicide Victims Awareness Month in Massachusetts — a time to honor the
voices and experiences of those grieving the loss of a loved one,
recognize the generational impact of this trauma, and commit to ensuring
that survivors’ needs are met and healing is centered.
In the wake of recent gun violence in Boston and across the country,
raising awareness of survivor needs and investing in trauma care is more
important than ever.
The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute has remained a constant pillar in our
community to respond to the hurt and pain with compassion and care, and
serves as an integral partner to the City of Boston and other cities
across the country in transforming society’s response to homicide.

$3 — or whatever you can — to join our team in raising funds

and support to survivors of homicide victims? 100% of your contribution
will go directly to this critical organization.

The trauma of losing a loved one to gun violence is a permanent
heartbreak, and in the absence of structural support and attention, folks
and entire communities are left to heal from this immense trauma alone – a
burden that too often and disproportionately falls on Black and brown
communities.

can, please join us in making a donation to the Louis D. Brown Peace
Institute to help families and loved ones find peace and healing after
unimaginable loss.
In solidarity,
