As two ACLU lawyers in the fight for reproductive freedom and voting rights, respectively, we wanted to let you know it's the knowledge that our community is out there and steadfast with us – from our courageous clients to generous supporters like you – that keeps us going strong.

But we have a really big fight ahead of us in the coming months. So in case you haven’t taken advantage of our Giving Tuesday match with a monthly gift yet, we wanted to reach out to let you know exactly what ongoing support like yours has already achieved for our work:

• Immediately following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the ACLU and our coalition partners swiftly took legal action to block abortion bans in 11 states.
• When news broke just days before Election Day that Georgia voters had not been sent their ballots due to suppression efforts by the state, our attorneys swiftly filed an emergency suit to ensure these voters would have the opportunity to vote during the midterms – and we won, including securing a ballot receipt extension for all affected absentee voters.
• Since 2020, we have brought seven challenges to anti-trans laws, including our lawsuit blocking Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's directive to investigate families who work with medical professionals to provide their trans kids with life-saving health care.
