• Dismantling white nationalism and protecting our democracy: We’re ramping up our
  work to track and expose white nationalist organizations across the United States,
  confront governments and institutions that embrace white nationalist ideology, and
  educate and mobilize communities to confront supporters of white nationalism.
  
  
• Protecting voting rights and civic engagement: Conservative politicians are exploiting fears to justify new voter suppression laws. The SPLC is fighting these efforts while registering and mobilizing voters of color, returning citizens and young people. We’re also engaged in redistricting to ensure states receive the full political representation and federal funding they deserve.
  
  
• Decriminalizing and decarcerating Black and Brown people: The U.S. has the highest incarceration rate on the planet with over 2.2 million people — 60 percent of them people of color — in the nation’s prisons and jails. Mass incarceration contributes to a culture that dehumanizes Black and Brown people and fuels white nationalism. The SPLC is working to end mass incarceration and over-policing and redirect resources away from arrest and incarceration to policies that address gross inequity and promote justice.

• Eradicating poverty: Systemic racism creates barriers to opportunity that prevent a
  disproportionate number of people of color from accessing wealth. Poverty is the most
  significant factor contributing to poor health, low-quality education and encounters
  with police and the criminal justice system. Poverty presents challenges that make our
  fight against white nationalism even more difficult. The SPLC is working to uplift
  people living in poverty through litigation, advocacy and coalition building.
