Giving Tuesday
Sane immigration policies are compassionate.
Dear John,
I hope you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving. These holidays are an essential opportunity to reflect on how much we have to be grateful for, such as our country, our prosperity, and our state of peace. But commercialist holidays, like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, have been unofficially added, and these can help us forget what's really important. So for a number of years, Giving Tuesday has become a way for people to embrace thankfulness and help create a better society that is always becoming greater.
As you contemplate the blessings of our nation, I would like you to consider that our nation is defined by its laws, its borders, and its people. We cannot exist as a nation for long if our laws are not enforced, our borders are not respected, and our government does not owe its sole allegiance to its own people.
Did you buy presents for your loved ones this past Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Are you planning to shop for them for the holidays? As you consider what they might need or enjoy, take time to ponder how important their nation is to them. Will they secure jobs offering good pay? A future guaranteeing rule of law? Schools that aren't overcrowded? Roads that aren't clogged with congestion? Open space?
NumbersUSA works to make sure your children and grandchildren have these quality of life essentials. For 26 years, we've sought to ensure our nation upholds its laws, and its borders, and the vital interests of its people. We've helped policymakers and citizens alike understand how a sensible, lawful immigration system is essential to our system of government.
Freedom isn't free. By declaring their independence from tyrants, our forefathers pledged their lives, their fortunes, their sacred honor. They bestowed upon us a government of the people, by the people, for the people. We all need to take part in this governance. NumbersUSA is one way you can do your part to ensure an informed citizenry and a responsive government.
