Our mission at Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) is clear. As a legal non-profit, our mission is to defend – without charge – the religious freedoms, parental rights, the sanctity of life and other civil liberties of people who cannot defend themselves. We work diligently to provide our clients with dedicated, exceptional legal support completely funded by our generous supporters.
A mission statement is great, but it’s even better when important influencers understand and communicate it. Only weeks ago, Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk said,
“PJI is on the front lines for the battle for freedom and liberty... We need more organizations like PJI and I can tell you, I'm on the front lines myself, and PJI is actually in the trenches, doing the difficult and tough work... That’s why this organization is so critical.”
For 25 years, PJI has been vociferously fighting for the rights of the pre-born through various channels and was asked to write an Amicus Brief on behalf of the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court case, whose ruling overturned Roe v Wade.
So, as we rejoice with this momentous victory and see lives saved all over the country because of it, there are still many challenges now and on the immediate road ahead, including...
- 115 active cases that PJI is handling, more than at any time in our history,
- All-too-common life changing obstacles and violations of Americans’ religious freedoms,
- Injustice related to the suppression of free speech and
- The spread to other states of horrific laws, such as the heinous California Senate Bill 107, the “Kidnapper’s Protection Law, just signed by Governor Gavin Newsom
Just to name a few...
Our goal this Giving Tuesday is to be able to raise enough financial support in order to counsel, represent, defend and be victorious for over double the number of clients than we were able to bless, compared to our Giving Tuesday, 2021 support... And do it all at no charge.
