There’s a future where we’re no longer forced to pay through our noses to prop up the profits of dirty oil and gas companies. Or shiver in cold homes.

But that future can only exist with UK government action to fix the UK’s broken energy system.

So with your help, we’re campaigning for real solutions to the energy crisis. From an ambitious home insulation programme to investment in cheap renewable resources that help the UK stop relying on expensive fossil fuels.

This week it’s the Big Give Christmas Challenge. And we’re aiming to raise £160,000 to support our vital work. The great news? Every single donation you make today will be doubled. At no extra cost.

Bold action on the climate and cost-of-living crises should have been at the heart of the UK government's autumn statement last month.

But the announcement showed the government kicking the can down the road. With a home insulation plan that doesn't go nearly far enough. And a watery windfall tax that lets fossil fuel firms avoid paying most of it if they invest in more gas and oil.

Instead, we need the UK government to fund an ambitious home insulation programme, focused on those most in need first. And supported by a windfall tax on oil and gas giants' obscene excess profits.

With the energy price cap set to rise again next year, we need solutions that don’t force people in the UK to pick up the cost of the energy crisis. So your support is crucial to the future of our campaign.
