Earlier this year we launched our safe and healthy communities platform. As a community organization, we know that the issues our communities face don’t fit into a single box. Fighting for safe streets means fighting for deeply affordable housing. Fighting for a safe climate means fighting for good jobs in the transition from oil and gas. Our members' lives are multifaceted and so our campaigns must be.

Your donations help us unite neighbors to improve their lives and their communities. People like Leroy Johnson, who is organizing his neighbors to stop the closure of one of
the only affordable supermarkets in Flatbush Brooklyn. And Hempstead's Mary Crosson, whose community garden, in one of the lowest-income communities in Nassau County, feeds over 200 families each year. Every day our members show what being a part of an organized community is about.

We love #GivingTuesday because it’s a day when others can join in the spirit of giving back. We want to ensure that every community is safe and healthy in 2023 and we know we can win.

In the past few years, we’ve won some incredible campaigns. We've expanded the social safety net to include immigrant workers left behind during COVID-19. And kept tens of thousands of tenants in their homes during the pandemic with the longest-running eviction moratorium in the country. Support more victories like these today on #GivingTuesday.
