Giving Tuesday is a day of radical generosity. While I’m sure there are many organizations asking for your donation today, I challenge you to ensure your gift empowers Black America.

Your Giving Tuesday donation to National Urban League will uplift Black individuals like Karen J from Chicago, who supports her parents with her income. 

Karen’s life began spiraling after contracting Covid-19 during the pandemic, making her unable to work for weeks. She fell behind in rent and utilities – and eventually couldn’t afford food or to financially assist her parents.

Our local affiliate Urban League helped Karen get back on her feet by providing a Housing rental Counselor. Her counselor assisted both her and her father in applying for rental cash assistance and linked her with other resources.

Thanks to the support of friends like you, Karen had her basic needs met. “I was able to catch up on the rent, other bills, and buy food. I cannot thank the Chicago Urban League enough.”

Your donations can help sustain our work and ability to provide emergency assistance and guidance to individuals who have fallen behind on bills. Your gift will help provide substantial relief – both financially and personally for someone in a crisis.
