Hi,
The problems of the natural world are urgent and
catastrophic.
Humanity is drowning in plastic with no signs of production
stopping, feeding the oil industry to continue its devastation on the
planet. The unchecked demand for meat and animal products slashes down
forests, stripping us of natural defenses against the ravages of
climate change. We’re losing species biodiversity, coastal areas to
the rising sea, and our own health to the microplastics in our lungs
and bloodstreams.
We need businesses, governments, and people to Invest In
Our Planet. Every year, we onboard millions to be part of the
world’s largest environmental movement and EARTHDAY.ORG spearheads
that global call. We clean up, reforest, and rally worldwide to spread
awareness of our issues from plastic pollution to deforestation to
sustainable fashion.
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that
encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has
grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of
people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. We
ask that during this day of giving, you make a donation to empower
EARTHDAY.ORG’s global fight for our shared
environment.
With the support of people like you, we are working to:
- End plastic pollution and encourage individuals to clean up the
world through community cleanups and local advocacy
- Reforest vulnerable communities and turn back the clock on climate
change
- Transform our food system by educating on the benefits of
plant-based diets and advancing regenerative agriculture
initiatives
- Make assessed climate and environmental education a compulsory
part of K-12 schooling worldwide
- Advocate for policies that Invest In Our Planet
The fight for environmental justice, climate literacy, and
ecosystem restoration requires all hands on deck. As EARTHDAY.ORG
supporters and environmental leaders in your community, we are
counting on you to support our programming efforts worldwide.
Please
consider a tax-deductible donation to the Earth Day movement this
Giving Tuesday.
Together,
Kathleen Rogers President
