Our macroeconomic work helps illuminate the main structural features of the Covid-related crises impacting economies around the world, including the current inflationary phase, while laying bare the flaws in the conventional monetary policy response and underlying systemic sources of financial instability.

Alongside our macroeconomic research, our work incorporating the neglected domain of household production in microeconomic analysis exposes significant gaps in the conventional understanding of inequality and poverty and allows us to develop alternative measures of economic well-being or deprivation using an approach that has been adopted by a growing number of national statistical agencies.
