Each election year, we are reminded that voting is a hard-won right. It’s a right that the American Immigration Council takes seriously. That’s why we filed a lawsuit against the government for failing to process immigrants’ U.S. citizenship applications on time. With delays lasting for years, people watched elections come and go without being able to cast a vote.
