Hey John,
As you know, CREW is fighting hard — and winning tough battles — to root out corruption and bring accountability to Washington.
In a moment, I’ll explain exactly what we’re working on, but if that’s enough for you to chip in a couple of dollars this Giving Tuesday, you can do that right now.
(Your donation will be matched in full for Giving Tuesday — so if you give today it will go twice as far!)
To be straightforward with you, John, our democracy is in peril, and we all have a role to play in protecting it.
At CREW, we’re taking legal action to seek accountability for the January 6 insurrection, testifying before Congress on judicial ethics reform and on banning Congressional stock trading, uncovering new details about the failures of national security agencies ahead of the insurrection, and tracking Donald Trump’s dozens of likely crimes and ongoing conflicts of interest. And so much more.
One thing I’ve learned since I’ve been at CREW, John, is that none of us can protect our democracy alone. But together, we can safeguard it, and build a better, fairer democracy that works for all of us.
That’s why I’m hoping you will chip in $25 for our Giving Tuesday match challenge to help us keep up our work. Especially now — with Kevin McCarthy and fellow election deniers in control of the House for the next two years, our work shining a light and holding those in power accountable is more important than ever. Can I count on you to chip in $25 — which will be matched by two generous donors — right now to help us?
Every single one of your contributions helps us build on our work pursuing accountability, shining a light on corruption and pushing for reform. If you want to ensure that work continues, I hope you’ll consider making a donation this Giving Tuesday — we truly couldn’t do this work without supporters like you.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
President, CREW
