Dear John,
This year served as a vivid reminder that the demand for fundamental human rights and freedoms is strong and getting stronger.
From Mariupol to Managua, from Kabul to Kigali, from Taipei to Tehran, we have witnessed innumerable acts of bravery and defiance on behalf of freedom and against authoritarian aggression.
Over the past year, Freedom House has supported more than 2,000 human rights activists, organizations, journalists, and survivors of persecution across 106 countries.
They include brave people fighting for fundamental rights and democratic governance, as well as those persecuted for their religious beliefs or for their work to defend and advance LGBTQI+ rights.
With your financial support, you can help us identify threats to freedom, spur action to counter those threats, and support activists working to defend and expand freedom worldwide. This means more safe houses and protection for vulnerable people, more vital communications and safety equipment, and more emergency aid.
This support, and your help, is needed now more than ever.
For 10 years, Giving Tuesday has inspired generosity worldwide with the goal of making the world a better place. Your financial support helps us support democracy activists and create a better world—
a world where all people are free.
