The registration deadline is January 12 for the 2020 Citizens’ Climate Lobby
Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference
20-20 Vision: Clarifying Our Regional Climate Strategy
Wilmington, Delaware
January 18–19, 2020
8:00 a.m. Saturday through 12:00 p.m. Sunday
If you’ve been putting off registering while you get through the holidays, now is the time! There are just a few days left to reserve your spot at this annual gathering of climate activists in your region — it’s a great opportunity to learn what you can do in 2020 to support and advance climate action. Help make this the year when our nation takes a giant leap toward a more livable future!
For those of you who are feeling the loss of our founder, Marshall Saunders, please consider attending a memorial gathering on Friday, January 17, from 7–8:30 pm at the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew, 719 Shipley Street, in downtown Wilmington. The church is just 1.3 miles from the conference center and hotel. We will share some food and remembrances of Marshall before continuing the work he started. (The group rate at the hotel is good for Friday night as well.)
Here’s what else you can expect from the conference:
-
Breakout workshops on the interplay of climate and such topics as mental health, national security, labor, and agriculture and strategy sessions that focus on our region’s major watersheds and conveying climate impacts on these areas to our representatives.
-
The opportunity to hear from CCL vice presidents Madeleine Para and Daniel Richter about the path forward in 2020, both for our bill, the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, and the organization.
