Too many dinner tables this holiday season will have an empty chair. The loved ones lost to a gun violence crisis that has taken 15,000 Pennsylvanians in the last decade.
Together we’re making progress to end gun violence. We passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, helped appoint a new ATF director and won $105 million dollars in state anti-violence funding. And now, we have a gun safety majority in the Pennsylvania House who will work with Governor Shapiro to save lives from this crisis.
Today, you can invigorate our the vast coalition of faith and community leaders, survivors, veterans, law enforcement, and doctors - because the problems we face are big but not impossible to overcome. When you stand behind us, we can remember those who couldn't be saved from this crisis by taking action for a safer Pennsylvania.
Simple solutions vastly agreed upon by the majority of Pennsylvanians, such as universal background checks, are within our grasp now more than ever, with your help. In the coming weeks our organizing team will be holding vigils throughout the state to honor those empty chairs at holiday tables this year and remember the victims of gun violence we lose everyday.
