CELEBRATE 100 YEARS OF WOMEN?S RIGHT TO VOTE; INDIANA?S RATIFICATION OF THE 19TH AMENDMENT
INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 7, 2020) ? Please join Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, the Indiana Women's Suffrage Centennial Commissioners and other leaders throughout the state in celebrating 100 years of women?s constitutional right to vote. This kick-off celebration marks the 100-year anniversary of the January 16, 1920, Indiana ratification of the 19th Amendment, which became part of the Constitution in August 1919.
WHO:? Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, the Indiana Women?s Suffrage Centennial Commission, historian Dr. Anita Morgan, state legislators and special guests, in conjunction with partner organizations: the Indiana Historical Society; the Indiana Humanities Council; and, the Indianapolis Propylaeum.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The Indiana Women?s Suffrage Centennial Commission was established to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 2020. In order to increase visibility and awareness of the 100-year anniversary, the Commission launched a?website, in partnership with Indiana Humanities, to house resources, recent news, and upcoming events.?
