We’re delighted to let you know that the Love Our National Parks Christmas appeal ([link removed]) is open from noon today. This gives you the chance to double your donation at no extra cost to you.

And this winter, your help is needed more than ever.

The situation

You may have seen on the media in recent weeks that the situation in our National Parks is becoming more and more dire – with some National Park Authorities considering redundancies or selling off land. Already this autumn, we’ve fought back against shocking new proposals in England to weaken hard-won planning protections that safeguard the National Parks. The very lungs of our country are under threat.

The solution

As the independent voice for National Parks in England and Wales, we are now campaigning hard: a properly funded National Parks network can do so much for driving sustainable economic growth, tackling the climate and nature emergency, and enhancing people's health and wellbeing.

That's why we're calling on the government to urgently provide National Parks with the investment and powers they need to thrive for the future.
