Derek reminded me of something important today: The general election was about more than protecting our narrow Democratic majorities in Congress – it was about protecting our democracy from extreme politicians who continue to choose power over the people.
But on December 6, Senator Raphael Warnock will face MAGA extremist Herschel Walker in Georgia's runoff election. There's a reason why folks across the nation are invested in this neck-and-neck race.
First, if we help re-elect Senator Warnock, we will expand our narrow Senate majority and reject extremism once more. Not only that — we'll be one seat closer to defending our Senate majority in 2024 again when multiple Senate seats are up for election in states Trump won in 2020.
