There's a lot of focus on the presidential race right now, and I get it. It's important.

But we can't let all of that attention and press coverage allow us to forget about the task of retaking the Senate next November.

Our ability to pass any Democratic candidate's agenda depends on our success, and we all have a role to play in making it happen.

As you know, that means we need to save some seats and flip some seats. Two critical seats on the path to a Democratic majority are in New Hampshire and Arizona.

My friends Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Mark Kelly both have tough fights on their hands, so today I want to launch a big fundraising push to support them ahead of Sunday's official FEC deadline.

Will you split a $3 donation between Senator Shaheen, Mark Kelly and my work to change our gun laws? It would mean a lot to me.

Senator Shaheen is an original co-sponsor of our universal background checks bill and assault weapons ban, and no one has done more for the anti-gun violence cause than Mark Kelly and his wife Gabby Giffords.

I need both of them fighting alongside me in the Senate to beat the gun lobby.
