John, I recently sat down with Politico to talk about the work I've put in toward bettering our communities, and how much it pays to really understand your communities. |
John, during a debate earlier this year, I said:
"You can't represent someone you don't listen to, you don't visit with, and you don't intentionally make time to be able to share with."
And while listening is important, knowing how to talk to your community, knowing what resonates with them, is now more important than ever – and that's exactly what I told Politico.
There's a reason that Democrats have lost 17 points in their lead amongst Hispanic voters since 2018: we're not paying attention to the issues that matter most to them.
That's why I'm here to work differently. I know our community. I know people are worried about the cost of living, and affordable housing. I know these people need a strong voice to advocate for their needs.
But getting there isn't easy. John, maintaining a connection with our friends and neighbors is my top priority, and meeting our End of Month Fundraising Goal does just that. With just $3,112 til we make it, will you donate what you can to help us reach our goal? |
