For far too long, working West Virginians, miners, and their families have been at the mercy of an economy and a justice system that allow narrow, private interests to beat out the common, public interest— that ends now .
I'm running for Attorney General to protect what our people have earned and defend our basic rights : fair wages and benefits, retirement security, an equitable public education, a real shot at beating addiction and succeeding with long-term recovery.
My career has been all about fighting back whenever West Virginians have been done wrong—whether by the state or by private interests. When major companies have failed to pay their workers or reneged on retirement benefits and healthcare for workers, I’ve been there together with many of you, to champion the people and an economy that works for us all.

We're going to expand access to quality, affordable healthcare and jumpstart the economy. When I'm Attorney General, I'll protect the people of West Virginia from attacks that would allow insurers to deny coverage on the basis of pre-existing conditions.
