Giving Challenge Deadline: MIDNIGHT TOMORROW

2022 has sadly been another devastating year for birds and the places they need as wildfires continue to grow more numerous, more frequent, more widespread, and more intense. It’s a deadly situation for many species—even ones like the California Spotted Owl, known to thrive in the aftermath of wildfires, are left with nothing to return to. Historic heat waves, so-called “megafires,” and other climate-related extreme weather events will continue to destroy vital habitats and directly threaten birds… unless we act.

If we act, and act fast, we can help vulnerable birds like the California Spotted Owl survive this code-red emergency. Start a monthly gift today, ahead of Giving Tuesday, and be one of the 213 new donors we need by midnight tomorrow to help secure an extra $75,000 in critical funding for birds.

With more than a century of expertise behind us, we know what it takes to protect vulnerable birds like the California Spotted Owl in the face of the growing climate crisis. Using our proven combination of committed advocacy, empowering education, and expert on-the-ground conservation—all guided by science and grounded in our shared love for birds—we’ve been able to give species a better chance at survival.

But we depend on your support to make it all possible—and birds can’t wait. That’s why we’re asking you to join us early with your gift for Giving Tuesday and be one of the 213 new monthly donors we need now. Thanks to a group of generous donors, you'll help secure an extra $75,000 on birds’ behalf—and become a dedicated partner in all we do to ensure their survival.

Sincerely,
